In 2013, three highly experienced consultants – Ben Barry, James Cockroft and Rob Walker – set out to disrupt the dominance of monolithic, disconnected organisations in the IT consultancy industry. Ben and James were both previously Directors of CIO Advisory at KPMG but saw the opportunity for creating a new, smaller company that would be able to move fast, work in a joined-up way, and deliver greater satisfaction to employees and value to clients.
Finding a like-minded thinker in Rob, previously of Diageo and Serco, they founded Coeus as a truly independent, specialist IT consultancy; Coeus would combine the knowledge and experience of a larger company with the flexibility, value for money, and ease of doing business of a smaller organisation. It would empower IT leaders to deliver more – which is exactly what Coeus is doing today. And it’s certainly working.
In 2022, we were recognised as one of the UK's Leading Management Consultancies in the Financial Times listings (here).
Our Awards shelf alone is testament to how far we’ve come:
Coeus is doing exactly what our founders hoped it would: challenging the IT consultancy industry with specialist, up-to-the minute knowledge, and a flexible, collaborative, open way of doing business. At the same time, we’re helping clients master the same methodologies, ideas and technologies and become industry disruptors too. It is this focus on delivering client success, supported by our commitment to employee satisfaction, that continues to drive Coeus Consulting’s rapid growth.
In 2019 we opened an office in Germany to better serve our European clients and also expanded our client offering to include Coeus ‘Insights’ to help clients evaluate technology innovations (such as AI and RPA) against the needs of their business.
Coeus have been recognised by ClimatePartner as being a carbon neutral organisation (more), and we have committed to continually offset our emissions from 2021.
Our other commitments include:
In September 2022, Wavestone, a leading independent, global technology and management consultancy, acquired Coeus Consulting. Wavestone also acquired PEN Partnership, a specialist, independent management consultancy, in August. The three companies all share strong growth ambitions to build together a leading player in the UK consulting market. Read more here.
